  • Keeps traffic from getting even worse
  • Stops the transformation of Santa Monica into a high-rise high-rent concrete urban jungle
  • Protects renters by stopping the gentrification of existing neighborhoods and the destruction of existing rent-controlled housing
  • Protects the existing low-rise character of the beach town that we LUVE​
  • ​Preserves our open skies, ocean breezes, and our quality of life
  • Gives voters the power to decide how much development is right for Santa Monica
  • Requires voter approval for Major Development Review Permits

  • ​Requires voter approval for major changes in the City's Zoning laws
  • Eliminates the incentives given to developers by City Hall to demolish existing smaller buildings and replace them with taller and larger ones
  • Gets special interests out of City Hall​

Measure LV qualifies for the November 2016 Ballot.  10,116 Signatures from Santa Monica residents were gathered and submitted by Residocracy volunteers to the Santa Monica City Clerk's Office on May 5, 2016.  The Los Angeles County Registrar's office has now verified the signatures and LUVE is officially on it's way to victory in November
